New Stuff to look at- Inspiration; David Carson Interviews

The Vignelli's 1970's subway Map.
& images from the Vitra catalogue designed by Cornel Windling. The font he uses in the cover and throughout is ITC Grouch. He also uses a version of Futura that he re-drew for the inside text.
If you want to see more pages from the catalogue click here.
Also remember that: YOU SHOULD BE UPDATING YOUR BLOGS WEEKLY WITH WORK! Put your drafts as you work through them that way we see what your process is!

Also here are examples of some nice fun ID creation and usage of type by Christophe Jacquet and Giancarlo Oprandi for The Centre Culturel Francais d'Alger. You can see more examples of this at Oprandi's website. By the way the body type he uses is Times New Roman (yes!).

Also, look at this link to an interview with David Carson about his design process. Take a look at his desktop. I know its a quark site, but what he says is great.
